Our Story

Born from a love of honest cooking

The Corner Bistro opened its doors on Deansgate in 2019 with one guiding belief: that the best meals are made from the finest local ingredients, prepared without fuss and served with warmth. Head Chef Marcus Hale spent over a decade cooking in London and Edinburgh before returning to the North, determined to champion the exceptional produce available right here in the North West.

From Cheshire dairy farms to the fishing boats of Fleetwood, every item on our menu tells a story of provenance. We work with fewer than twenty carefully selected suppliers, visiting their farms and fisheries throughout the year to ensure what arrives in our kitchen meets the standards we set for our guests.
